What age to start dating

11 Apr

These days people start dating way too early, at 10 girls already have a BF or Crush in church or in school, back in the days people didn't get to date till 18. What age would you advise your kids to start dating?

(1) (2) (3) (4) Someone posted on Facebook about a 13 year old told him she was in love with a 22 year old guy and he didn't just know what to say to her.....

You can create a healthy friendship with that person. An adolescent is anything but mentally, emotionally strong.

There's really no specified age just that the complexities that comes with serious dating can't be handled by a minor that's why he/she should wait till he/she is matured enough. but babes, most adults are not mentally, spiritually and emotionally strong.... Now, I'd say they date and have a clean relationship but in Nigeria and this age, that's real difficult, if not impossible.

Being a parent means committing to guide your child through many complicated and difficult stages of life.

You go from changing their diapers, to teaching them how to tie their shoes, to eventually helping them understand dating and love.

Depends on the kid - and the date My parents said 16. It also depends on your relationship with your kid and how well you trust him/her, plus the boy/girlfriend and other friends.

The dating sneak attack My Dad always said no dating until I was 16.

And it made me realize that we, as parents, have a pretty wide range of ideas on what age kids should be allowed to start dating and even on what dating means at various ages.

Even if your son is mooning over a certain girl, most 12-year-olds aren’t really ready for the one-on-one interaction of a true relationship.

For eighth-graders, dating likely means lots of time spent talking on the phone and hanging out in groups.

If the boy won't spend time with us, then he can't be alone with our daughter. Homeschool homies As homeschoolers, my kids are in a different social structure, so I suppose we'd just take it one day/one person at a time.

My son at 11 already has a very close girl friend (not girlfriend) but if that evolved, we'd just see how it went and make sure to be open with him and encourage him to do the same.
